Dreaming of the Tropics

We are dreaming of warm sunny places to inspire our designs right now.  From our recent wedding in Jamaica super chic elements appeared in our designs from the save the dates to the green and white cabana stripes that lined the invitation envelopes.  The weekend welcome booklet included wardrobe tags..we started adding these for our destination weddings so that guests could unpack and have each outfit ready for the weekend’s festivities.  A custom illustration including the palm treed landscape from the property provided guests a “map” of all of the party locations.

Something much more simple and easy to DIY are these tropical leaf table numbers. If you are far away from a coastal environment and can’t source actual leaves, you can order an assortment from your local florist. Using a paint pen to paint on the numbers is an easy way to bring a beachy look anywhere.

For another wedding in Florida, our client wanted more of the natural elements native to a coastal or tropical environment… animals, florals, and tropical greens. A different variation from what you would normally expect from a tropical design but still works in such a chic way.

Here, for a fall wedding on the coast of Georgia… exotic leaves were the main focus of the paper design.  Since they were to be the main decor at the rehearsal dinner, the invitation for that party featured a letterpress leaf pattern.

Sometimes a design inspired simply by the location or style of party is enough to feel like a getaway.  For a margaritas in Mexico inspired rehearsal dinner, this invite design makes you feel like you are going to a street party in Cabo!
